Who we are

About the founders.

Promote My Concert is a father-and-son outfit. Between us we’ve played blues bars and cathedrals, marketed a major symphony and sold pianos, and we’ve seen the same thing from every angle: good shows at small venues don’t get the crowds they deserve, and the problem is rarely the ad. Usually nobody had the time to figure out where to put it.

The idea took shape in Nashville. Building a presence in Music City showed us how hard agents and promoters work to push smaller artists, and how little help the venues themselves get. Social and programmatic advertising can put a show in front of exactly the right people, but running it well is a second job most venue owners don’t have time for. So we built a platform that does it for them. Venues bring their own ads and keep control of how they look. We place them, run them, and show the venue how many people its ads reached.

Edwin Holt Co-founder

Edwin has spent more than 30 years building brands for some of the biggest names in America, including American Airlines, Nokia, ExxonMobil, the Dallas Cowboys and Southern Methodist University. Closest to his heart was the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, where he spent fifteen years shaping the marketing behind its seasons.

He’s spent plenty of nights on the other side of it, too. With a tackle box full of harmonicas, Edwin has played small rooms with his blues combo and shared the stage with some of the genre’s legends, so he knows the challenges with putting on any concert. A TCU graduate, he’s CEO of Holt Creative Group.

William Holt Co-founder

William has always had a hard time sitting still. Trained in voice and choral conducting at St. Olaf College, he’s taken his singing to ten countries, directed choirs from Minnesota to Melbourne, Australia, built pipe organs at Schoenstein & Co. in San Francisco, and run sales and service at piano dealerships in Atlanta and Melbourne. Along the way he picked up AV work, CRM management, and now digital marketing.

He’s stood on stage counting empty seats and sat behind the sales desk wondering why a good campaign didn’t land, which is exactly the gap Promote My Concert exists to close. These days he’s based Down Under, where he sings as a Choral Scholar at Christ Church South Yarra and with the chamber choir Polyphonic Voices.
