FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short version: you make the ads, pick a stage and pay online; we place the ads around your venue and show you the results. Don’t see yours? .

Getting started

What is Promote My Concert?

Concert promotion for bars, restaurants and music venues anywhere in the U.S., priced per show. You make the ads; we place them in front of the right audience around your venue and show you the results.

Which stage is right for my venue?

Stages are priced per show by the size of your room: Front Porch ($395 a show) for rooms up to 250, Dance Hall ($595 a show) for rooms 251–750 and Main Stage ($1,250 a show) for rooms 751+. You can pick any stage you like; with a venue on file, the order form suggests the one that fits its capacity.

How long do the ads run, and how far do they reach?

Front Porch: 2 weeks within 10 miles of the venue, an estimated 15,000+ impressions. Dance Hall: 3 weeks within 20 miles of the venue, an estimated 30,000+ impressions. Main Stage: 4 weeks within 40 miles of the venue, an estimated 50,000+ impressions. Impressions are estimates and vary by market.

Who sees the ads?

Every stage reaches music fans around your venue, aimed using the music category you pick, and reminds anyone who clicked or engaged with your ad in the final days before the show. Dance Hall and Main Stage add mobile ads to people who have visited your venue and other music spots nearby.

How is Front Porch different from boosting a post?

A boost is a stripped-down version of Meta’s ad tools: basic targeting, limited placements, no testing and very little reporting. Front Porch is built and managed by our media team in Meta’s full Ads Manager: audiences built from fans of similar artists, genres and nearby music venues, not just “people near you”; ads placed in Feed, Stories and Reels; two ad versions tested against each other, with the budget shifted to the one that performs best; and a specialist monitoring and adjusting the campaign throughout. Anyone who clicks or engages with the ad gets a reminder in the final days before the show.

Is it only for Nashville?

No. We started in Nashville, and venues anywhere in the U.S. can order. Show times are always the venue’s local time.

Can I promote more than one show?

Yes. Each show is its own order. Your venues and shows are saved in your account, so the next order is quicker.

Your ads

Do you make the ads?

No. You know your room, your crowd and your artists, so the creative stays yours. The order form tells you the sizes each stage needs and refuses a file that doesn’t match, with the reason.

What do I need to provide?

Your venue’s address, who’s playing, the music category, the date and start time, a ticket link if you have one, and your ad files. Front Porch: one JPG image at 1080 × 1080 pixels. Dance Hall: everything Front Porch needs, plus seven JPG images, one at each of these sizes in pixels: 320 × 50, 300 × 50, 300 × 250, 300 × 600, 160 × 600, 970 × 250, 970 × 90. Main Stage: everything Dance Hall needs, plus a 30-second audio spot and a 60-second audio spot (MP3, M4A or WAV).

What file types and sizes work?

Images must be JPGs at the exact pixel size shown for each slot, up to 10 MB each. Audio spots can be MP3, M4A or WAV, up to 20 MB, and must run 30 or 60 seconds as the slot says. Each file is checked as you add it.

What can and can’t go in my ad?

Every ad goes through a quick content review by our team, and then a second review by the platforms where it runs (Facebook, Instagram and the streaming apps). If you follow these guidelines, your ad should be approved the first time and launch on schedule.

Good to go

  • Artist name, photo, show date, time and venue
  • Ticket prices, ticket links and “on sale now” messages
  • Your venue’s logo, plus the artist’s own logo or album art
  • Opening acts, special guests and event details
  • Drink or food specials. Note that any mention of alcohol means the ad can only be shown to people 21 and over.

Will be rejected

  • Explicit content. No nudity, sexual imagery, profanity or explicit lyrics. This applies to the artwork, the ad text and the audio.
  • Drugs or heavy drinking. No drug references, and nothing that encourages excessive drinking (“drink till you drop,” shotgunning, etc.).
  • Hate or harassment. No content that targets any person or group.
  • Violence or weapons. No graphic or threatening images.
  • Misleading claims. No fake countdowns, false “sold out” or “last chance” claims, or prices that don’t match the ticket site.
  • Material you don’t have rights to. No other artists’ names, photos or music, no brand logos you don’t own (beer brands, sponsors), and no movie, TV or sports clips. Sponsor logos are allowed only if you have the sponsor’s permission.
  • Fake buttons or tricks. No images made to look like a play button, a notification or a “click here” link.
  • Low-quality artwork. No blurry, stretched or cropped photos, and no flyers so packed with text that people can’t read them on a phone.

Tips for faster approval

  • Use a clear, high-resolution photo of the artist. An ad with a photo almost always outperforms a text-heavy flyer.
  • Keep the text short: artist, date, venue and “Get Tickets” is all you need.
  • Make sure your ticket link works and matches the show you’re promoting.
  • For audio ads (Main Stage), use a clean version of the song with no explicit lyrics.
What music categories can I choose?

Country, Americana and folk, Bluegrass, Rock, Pop, Hip-hop and R&B, Blues and soul, Jazz, Christian and gospel, Singer-songwriter, Electronic, Tribute and covers, Comedy and Other. It helps us find people who like that kind of music.

Where do the ads run?

Every stage runs on Facebook and Instagram (feed, Stories and Reels), with reminders to people who clicked. Dance Hall adds mobile display ads around your venue and other music spots. Main Stage adds streaming audio ads on music apps and reaches fans in surrounding towns.

Which music apps do Main Stage’s audio ads run on?

Audio ads run on popular streaming apps such as Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and SoundCloud. The exact mix varies by market and availability.

Ordering and paying

How do I order?

Create an account and pick a stage, then tell us about the venue and the show, add your ad files and pay. It all happens online; there are no calls and no contract.

How far ahead should I order?

The ads run in the weeks before the show and end on show day: up to 4 weeks, depending on the stage. We need your order and ads 5 days before the ads launch, so orders close a stage’s run plus 5 days before the show: Front Porch (2 weeks) 19 days before, Dance Hall (3 weeks) 26 and Main Stage (4 weeks) 33. That way every order gets its full run. The order form shows the last day to order once you enter the show.

How do I pay?

On Stripe’s secure checkout page when you submit the order, by card or another method Stripe offers there. It’s one payment per show, nothing recurring, and we never see your card details.

Can I cancel an order?

An order you haven’t paid for yet is a draft, and you can cancel it any time from your account. Nothing is charged for a draft. For a paid order: cancelled before your ads launch, you get a full refund. Cancelled after they launch, we pause the ads within 1 business day, and the unspent money comes back as a credit toward a future show, or as a refund minus a $100 setup and creative fee. To cancel a paid order, choose Report a problem on its page in your account; the team will reply there.

What if my show is rescheduled?

If the show moves (weather, travel and so on), we move the campaign to the new date and update the ads at no charge. Choose Report a problem on the order’s page in your account and give the new date.

After you order

What happens after I pay?

Your order moves through Submitted, Creative review (each ad is checked), Scheduled, Live, Wrapping up (the final numbers come in) and Report ready. You can follow each step in your account.

What if one of my ads needs changing?

The team checks each ad within 1 business day of your order, and the ad platforms check them too. If one needs changing, the order shows Needs changes with the reason, we email you the reason with a link, and you replace that file from your account. Everything else in the order stays as it is. The launch waits for the new file: the ads start no sooner than 5 days after it’s in, and still end on show day. If that leaves no time before the show, choose Report a problem on the order.

When do I see results?

In your account. The numbers show there while your ads run, and every stage gets a recap report after the show.

Do you guarantee a full house?

No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is guessing. What we do is put your show in front of people likely to come, and show you how many saw it.

Something’s gone wrong with my show. How do I tell you?

Sign in and choose Report a problem on the order’s page (or from Account). Pick what happened, for example the artist can’t make it or the date moved, and add the details. The team replies on that order in your account. Questions about how things work are answered here in the FAQ, or ask Penny.
